Since 1978, I have been painting in acrylics and my paintings cover a wide range of subjects. I had the pleasure of teaching acrylic painting for nine years which helped me gain even further insight into the medium. In 2009 I started to concentrate on wildlife, as my painting style is very suited to this subject matter.

Starting with the white surface of the masonite board or canvas, I apply acrylic paint through various stages of the process. This results in the final finished painting, which gives me great satisfaction as an artist.

The acrylic medium is best suited for my style of painting, with its fast drying medium, versatility, and varied techniques which enhance my paintings.

Acrylic paints were developed for artists' use in 1955, and continue to grow in popularity. Acrylics are extremely durable, and are used by professional and amateur artists alike to express their artistic abilities in their paintings.
